On the large bead is prayed The Diabolist’s Prayer. On the three small beads following is prayed the Hail Lilith, followed by the Gloria.
To begin the first decade, on the next large bead is prayed:
Belial, Lord of Foresight, your keen eyes reveal opportunity and danger. You provide the mettle needed to weather seasons of misfortune and calamity. Your steady hand brings your will to fruition. Give me the adamantine patience to inch my way to the pinnacle of success.

Belial, Lord of Foresight, grant me perseverance and prudence.
On the cord after the last bead, pray the Gloria.
To begin the second decade, on the next large bead is prayed:
Belial, Lord of Fortification, you protect us from the swords that would pierce our hearts. You are the levee which keeps the waves of the world at bay. Through your arts we nurture those we love and turn houses into homes. Place loyal friends and family in my life.

Belial, Lord of Fortification, help me guard those I love.
On the cord after the last bead, pray the Gloria.
To begin the third decade, on the next large bead is prayed:
Belial, Lord of Determination, you are discipline and responsibility. You supply the cold calculation to know the best way forward, and the indomitable will to see it through. You are self-sufficiency and restraint, sacrificing the lesser reward for the greater. Make me methodical in the application of my will.

Belial, Lord of Determination, make me relentless in the pursuit of my aims.
On the cord after the last bead, pray the Gloria.
To begin the fourth decade, on the next large bead is prayed:
Belial, Lord of Justice, you are fairness and balance. With solemn attentiveness you consider the needs of all, friend and foe alike. You austerely condemn what has proven ineffectual. By revealing what will not work, lead me toward what will.

Belial, Lord of Justice, help me to learn from my mistakes.
On the cord after the last bead, pray the Gloria.
To begin the fifth decade, on the next large bead is prayed:
Belial, Lord of Boundaries, you are gravity. You are death. You are the certainty of bleached bones in black soil. You are the restrictions which make order possible and life worthwhile. From your icy throne you see what others do not: the vast, sweeping cycle of time. Help me to mature in the face of adversity.

Belial, Lord of Boundaries, keep me mindful of my limits.
On the cord after the last bead, pray the Gloria.
On the large knot pray:
Hail Belial, ancient and melancholy one, in darkness and silence your lessons are learned. Your shadow hangs over all creation. Though some fear your presence, we sing your honor. In the eternal darkness of your hooded visage lie the mysteries of time and space. Protect us from danger, malediction, and bewitchment. Bless the abused and downtrodden with fortitude. And when we come to the end, great Archon, may our lives be free of regret.
